The higher of FIDE rating and ECF rating will
be used to determine allocation to sections.
The following B&B
rates have been negotiated with the Mercure
Daventry Court Hotel:
£72 (per room per night) Double/Twin sole use
£82 (per room per night) Double/Twin shared
£117 (per room per night) Triple shared
Evening meal: adults £20; children £10.
Players wanting

Guaranteed Events are offering a special
half-price B&B deal for the Sunday night for
players wishing to stay over after the congress.
No player may win more than one prize. All
place prize money will be shared equally between
tied players.

grading prizes can be found in the
Terms and Conditions.

Late
Entries: Entries may be accepted on the day
subject to availability and payment of a £10
surcharge (cash only - please bring correct
amount).

A ½ point bye may be taken in
rounds 1–4.
All moves in 90
minutes plus 30 second increment per move from
move 1.
Re-pairing will take place 30 minutes
after the start of a round. Players will be
defaulted 30 minutes after the scheduled start
of a round.
ECF and FIDE ratings from the June 2023 list
will be used for all sections.
All sections will be
both FIDE and ECF rated.
Players without a current FIDE or ECF rating
must give details of estimated playing strength,
including any previously held grading, or
current grading from another body.
In all sections
there is a pay to play fee of £12.00 for players
who are not ECF Gold or Platinum members or who
are non-ECF members registered with FIDE as ENG.
All players who do not want to be registered as
ENG must be registered with another federation
BEFORE playing.
Prizes may be changed subject to numbers of
entries.
The 4NCL reserves the right to transfer
players between sections at any time.
All pairings will be made using Swiss-Manager
FIDE Swiss pairing rules.
The submission of an entry form and payment
of the entry fee denotes acceptance that the
4NCL’s decision is final in all matters.
The 4NCL reserves the right to refuse any
entry without explanation.
